Senior Nuclear Medicine Technol/Nuclear Medicine Technol
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by the Council of Education of the American Medical Association or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board is required.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Iowa Public Health Department as documented by an Iowa Permit to Practice (IPP) is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Requires reasonable (1-3 years) progressively responsible experience in nuclear medicine procedures and related computer applications is required.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by the Council of Education of the American Medical Association or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires a certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board is required.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Some (6 months – 1 year) nuclear medicine developmental and/or clinical investigative experience is desirable.
- Some (6 months – 1 year) nuclear medicine technology supervisory or teaching experience is desirable.

The Department of Radiology will be filling this position at one of two levels. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist classification salary is 5, and the Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist classification salary is 6. You must indicate in your cover letter the level of classification (Imaging Technologist and/or Senior Imaging Technologist) you wish to be considered for or indicate both.
