Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required
  • 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting is required, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility
  • Demonstrated clinical education abilities and leadership is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist with advanced understanding and skill in providing occupational therapy primarily to adults in an inpatient acute care setting.
  • Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in evaluation and treatment of patients in inpatient orthopedics.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities
  • Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team
  • Job related experience with and/or commitment to service excellence
