Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required
  • 2 or more years experience as Physical Therapist with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility
  • Demonstrated clinical educational abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a work or academic setting
  • Demonstrated ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as Physical Therapist with advanced understanding and skill in providing physical therapy primarily to adults in an inpatient acute care setting
  • 1-3 years experience in evaluation and treatment of patients in critical care and/or a verified burn center
  • Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to practice in an autonomous manner
  • Demonstrated efficiency in the provision of patient care
  • Demonstrated effort to enhance one’s own knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Demonstrated program/service development or quality improvement projects
