REQUIRED Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with a major concentration in social work
  • Some (6 months-1 year) of clinical social work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A license to practice social work in Iowa
  • Demonstrated -
    • experience successfully referring/utilizing community resources.
    • experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
    • complex problems solving skills.
    • use of active listening and motivational interview techniques through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency utilizing word processing, spreadsheeting, and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft Office or Google.docs)

 

DESIRABLE Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health record/patient accounting system.
  • Familiarity with community resources for dental patients in Iowa.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external groups.
  • Experience supervising support staff
