Genetic Counselor
Education Required
A Master's Degree in Human Genetics, or Genetic Counseling is required.
Experience Requirements
Board certification in genetic counseling from the American Board of Genetic Counseling is required.
Current or eligible to be licensed as a Genetic Counselor in state of Iowa is required.
1-3 years’ experience in the field of genetic counseling is required.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Valid Driver's License, plus the ability to meet and maintain The University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standard.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated time management and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously is desirable.
Experience in genetics research and/or recruitment of human subjects for research projects is desirable.
