Staff Nurse - Center for Disabilities & Development
Required Qualifications:
- An Associate’s Degree, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Previous nursing experience working with pediatric patients.
- Experience demonstrating excellence in service with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
- Experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships and working in a team setting.
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer programs, including MS word and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting that includes working with patients and families with chronic conditions, development disabilities and mental health conditions.
- Experience working with pediatric patients with mental health and behavioral health conditions and their families.
- One year experience working in a patient care setting that included triage responsibilities.
- Experience working in a multi/interdisciplinary health care team environment.
- Knowledge of community programs and services for people with disabilities.
- Experience in leading process improvement teams.
- Experience working with an electronic medical record program.
