Staff Nurse - Inpatient Diabetes Education Team (80%-90%)
Education and Certification Requirements
- An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required
Experience Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of recent staff nurse level experience in adult medical-surgical setting
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Evidence of positive service excellence
- Documented patient education experience
- Current experience in self-directed, independent roles
- Evidence of productive and effective time prioritization and time utilization
- Experience triaging patients
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in an acute care setting
- Experience using EPIC
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Evidence of working well with a team
- Recent experience in diabetes education
- Experience in collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary team
- Certified Diabetes Educator or able to become certified within 2 years
