Staff Nurse - IRL Diabetes Education
Education and Certification Requirements
- An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required
Experience Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1-2 years of recent staff nurse level experience in a diabetes setting
Certified Diabetes Educator or able to become certified within 2 years upon hire
Must be able to work flexible hours
Evidence of positive service excellence
Documented patient education experience
Current experience in self-directed, independent roles
Evidence of productive and effective time prioritization and time utilization
Triage Experience required within the last 3 years.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in an ambulatory diabetes clinic setting
- Experience using EPIC
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Evidence of working well with a team
- Recent experience in diabetes education
- Experience in collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary team
