POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
 
Educational Requirements:
  • An Associate degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Professional Master’s of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader, or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
  • If a Baccalaureate degree is Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is required.
Certification Requirements:
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa
  • BLS Certification
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of recent RN experience.
  • Experience in tracheostomy care.
  • Experience with arterial lines.
  • Experience placing IV access.
  • Experience accessing ports.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and limited resources.
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills and time management.
  • Previous experience using electronic medical records.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Medical-Surgical nursing experience is desired.
  • EKG recognition experience is desired.
