The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a 100% Staff Nurse in the Sleep clinic.  The Staff Nurse is charged with the responsibilities of assessing patients’ nursing care needs, evaluating effectiveness of care provided, integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practices, and ensuring patient care standards are met. 

Duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Develop patient care plan based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Assesses patient health care preferences and expectations.
  • Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settings.

     

  • Telephone tirage to support the sleep clinic and other clinics as needed.
  • Assist with onsite home sleep apnea testing

     

  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.
  • Implements nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Follows universal precautions.

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule:  40 hours/week will be accomplished from 0800 - 1700, with a one hour lunch. No evenings or weekends

Location: Heartland Drive, Coralville

Pay Grade: 52 - https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/plans 

Required Qualifications:

  • An Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN) is required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Experience working with EPIC.
  • Previous Triage experience.
  • Previous experience working with department of Neurology
