Statistician/Biostatistician
Required:
Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, or related field. In some cases, an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible work experience will be considered sufficient to meet the requirements of the role.
Proficient in SAS programming (minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience) including data step programming to perform data manipulations as needed for statistical analyses and/or data presentations and knowledge of proper SAS procedures for statistical analyses.
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated understanding of statistical analysis procedures and interpretation of analysis results
Ability to work in a team environment
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Knowledge of relational database methods to manipulate and merge multiple large datasets to create analytical datasets
Highly Desired:
Experience and background in clinical trials research through graduate level coursework or project experience
Experience writing statistical analysis plans, analysis reports, protocols, or methods sections
Development of reports, tables, and listings in a professional setting
Use of SAS to navigate relational databases
Proficient in the use of macros in statistical software (for example SAS or R)
Experience with R programming skills including knowledge of data import procedures, data management, and use of analysis packages generally associated with a minimum of 1 year experience
Desired:
Experience with performing sample size and power calculations for planning actual research studies.
Experience with advanced modeling using actual research data.
Course work and/or professional experience of missing data techniques.
Course work and/or professional experience of randomization procedures and sequence generation.
