Statistician/Biostatistician
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in statistics/biostatistics or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible work experience.
- Minimum of 1-year experience using statistical programming languages (e.g. SAS, R, STATA) to perform data manipulations, graphical data presentation, and statistical analysis.
- Considerable computer experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and data analysis software.
- Experience performing statistical analysis, writing analysis reports, and presenting the results to non-statisticians in a collaborative research setting.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with the SAS and/or R statistical programming language in a professional setting.
- Experience creating, merging, and manipulating datasets for statistical analyses.
- Experience identifying data entry errors and assessing the validity of data.
- Experience in clinical trials research, preferably cancer-related.
- Knowledge of survival data analysis methods and/or linear mixed effects modeling, preferably in research settings.
- Experience with sample size and power calculations in research settings.
- Authorship on research publications.
- Experience providing statistical support on industry-sponsored or peer-reviewed research projects.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
