Required Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
  • Minimum of three years experience with SAS software, including BASE SAS (data programming, merging, storage), SAS/STAT, and MACRO is required. 
  • Expert with multiple linear regression, logistic regression, hierarchical linear and non-linear models, and proportional hazards regression is required.
  • Ability to work with investigators of various levels of experience, the ability to communicate results of independent analyses to investigators, and the ability to work in a team as demonstrated through previous collaborations is required.  
  • Ability to mentor junior faculty and research fellows through data analyses, statistical procedures, and software utilization as part of K-grant applications.
  • Expert working with large databases (e.g., 1 million plus observations) and the ability to problem solve issues related to analyses and storage of large databases is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of additional statistical software e.g., SPSS, R- software, SPLUS is desirable.
  • Familiarity with custom data frame construction and management in REDCap
  • An independent worker who is resourceful, creative, flexible, and eager to learn new statistical processes and analytical approaches for investigating hypotheses related to analyses of large databases as demonstrated through prior work experience or related coursework is desirable.
  • A good problem solver, attentive to detail, and able to work with little direction as demonstrated through prior work experience or related coursework is desirable. 
  • Service Excellence/Customer Focus: Ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.  Ability to effectively transmit and interpret information through appropriate communication with internal and external customers.
  1. Participates in developing a variety of effective ways to deal with service challenges.
  2. Models service delivery and coaches others to deliver excellent service in a variety of settings.
  3. Communicates well with direct reports, peers, leadership and external constituents.
  4. Utilizes various methods for information sharing and information gathering. Modifies processes to enhance service.
