Supervisor, Custodian Services

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Custodial experience (typically 2 years or more).
• Supervisory experience (typically 6 months or more).
• Experience assigning daily work activities, inspecting and monitoring quality of work, and scheduling/coordinating work activities.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Commercial custodial experience.
• Experience supervising a large number of staff (typically 12 or more individuals).
• Experience working in a diverse environment.
• Experience training staff.
• Experiencing maintaining or preparing records, reports, and inventories.
• Knowledge of proper positioning and moving techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals, including students and visitors.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Interest in and the ability to learn basic computer and keyboarding skills; including the ability to access and draft email correspondence and the ability to manage electronic time accruals and personal absence requests.  Previous experience is highly desired.
