The UIHC Supply Chain Department is seeking a Supply Chain Technician I to perform and coordinate specialized work associated with the dispensing of medical-surgical supplies, patient care equipment and medical implants throughout the medical center/hospital through the use of electronic supply chain management systems.  Provide liaison services between supply chain leadership, nurses, and health care professionals in acquiring the desired products or services according to the defined schedule.

 

Duties to include:

 

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, SPM, and Tableau to locate, pick, and stock supplies and instruments.
  • Prompt communication with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
  • Move on foot throughout hospital and distribute heavy case carts.

 

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: Monday-Friday 11pm-7:30am

Location: Work location will rotate between UIHC and ISC.

Rotations: Weekend and Holiday shifts will rotate.

 

Pay Grade: 6

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • One year of work related experience in supply management receiving, warehousing, and distribution setting; or
  • Any combination of such experience and/or post high school education that totals one year.
  • Possession of appropriate driver’s license as required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to move on foot, lift 25 pounds, and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
  • Ability to handle inventory on high and low shelves.
  • Ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards to drive University vehicle.
