Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, to meet deadlines efficiently, to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and to be highly self-motivated.
  • Reasonable (1 – 3 years) clinical laboratory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including some (6 months – 1 year) experience with technical writing related to policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer software applications.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or appropriate experience in a related discipline (Biological Sciences, for example). One year internship training in an approved ASCP board certified program and three years’ experience in a hospital clinical laboratory or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record for a strong service-oriented acumen.
  • Experience with referral laboratory testing and client services.
  • Experience with Epic and/or Beaker.
  • Experience with project management.
