Required Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in sustainability or equivalent combination of education and experience is required 
  • Working knowledge of software applications, such as Microsoft Office 
  • Extensive team building skills, the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously 
  • Working experience in leading planning efforts with various stakeholders and building consensus in a larger, institutional setting 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to clearly communicate and work with diverse individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of related experience in sustainability-related education, public outreach, and volunteer coordination 
  • 2-3 years of related experience in a supervisory role, having managed employees and/or research projects and internships 
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders through engagement and outreach 
  • Experience working with teams to develop interdisciplinary projects, grants and proposals 
  • Experience working with faculty and students in an academic environment and/or with sustainability related focus
