Qualifications:


Required

·    Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·    Typically 3-5 years experience in managing situations that involve individuals who are emotionally distraught or person(s) with mental illness.

·    3 years of experience working with crisis situations.

·    Experience providing consultation, assessment, and intervention planning for organizational leaders.

·    Experience and/or demonstrated strong interest in violence prevention and threat assessment and management.

·    Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to build coalitions among multiple stakeholders.

·    Public speaking or experience delivering training, including the proficient use of multimedia systems.

·    Knowledge of effective strategies for working with diverse faculty, staff, and students and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.

·    Excellent case management experience.

 

Highly Desired

·    1+ year direct experience investigating, evaluating, or managing individual threat cases.

 

Desired

·    Master’s degree, preferably in the field of human services.

·    Member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP)

·    Certified Threat Manager Certification (CTM) through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.

·    Trained to utilize structured professional judgment tools used in violent risk assessment.

·    Experiencing in utilizing the WAVR-21 V3 structured professional judgment tool.

·    Operational understanding of CLERY, FERPA, and HIPAA.
