Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience (typically a minimum of 3 years) program management experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience (typically 3 years or greater) working with students (secondary or college) with special needs and/or learning disabilities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team. 
  • Experience in writing grant proposals and/or grant management. 
  • Experience with transition service delivery (e.g., planning, advising, connecting with services, and making referrals) and/or working with community agencies that serve individuals with disabilities. Typical experience is three years or greater. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet and maintain the University of Iowa driving standards. 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field. 
  • Expertise in designing and implementing program evaluation, and research  
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a postsecondary education or college/university.
