University Ombudsperson
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Extensive experience (5-7 years) in higher education human resources, law, social science, psychology, education, public administration, conflict management, or related field.
- A demonstrated commitment to and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion in the higher education environment.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Willingness to bring systemic matters to the attention of the university for resolution.
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of and professional experience with higher education administration, structure, policies and procedures.
- Experience with development and delivery of training materials related to conflict resolution.
- Training through the International Ombudsman Association.
