Qualifications:

Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience Required:
  • Experience (typically 6 months – 1 year) developing and presenting evidence-informed educational programs for college students.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to utilize various methods to deliver learning solutions for desired training outcomes.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups while appreciating the unique contributions of diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience with educational program development and assessment, event planning and public speaking.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors at working level.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet UI fleet safety guidelines.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Higher Education/Student Development, or related field.
  • Experience (1 year or more) developing and presenting evidence-informed educational programs for college students.
  • Professional sexual violence prevention presentation/training experience.
  • Experience working with sexual abuse survivors as paid staff or trained volunteer in a rape crisis center or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of the utilization of the public health model of primary prevention as a guiding education principle.
  • Ability to speak language(s) in addition to English.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Successful candidate will be required to complete RVAP Advocate training within first six months and complete Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault Certification requirements within first 12 months of employment.
