Utilities Metering Engineer
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
· 3-5 years’ experience with at least 3 years involving energy production and delivery systems.
· Demonstrated understanding of steam, chilled water, electrical, and domestic water systems.
· Knowledge of utility revenue metering equipment.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Ability to communicate freely with supervisors and peers, as well as and others across campus who may lack full understanding of technical issues surrounding utilities.
· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations to large groups.
· Ability to work with a diverse group of staff at all levels of an organization.
Desired Qualifications
· Relevant experience with university or college campus energy production and distribution.
· Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Iowa.
· Experience with utility billing software or analysis of large datasets.
· Experience with fault detection and diagnostics for utility systems.
