Required Qualifications:

  • B.A. in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of art installation experience in an art gallery, museum, or similar setting.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience organizing public events.
  • Strong organization, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Experience with power tools and artwork installation methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.

Desired Qualifications:

  • M.F.A. or M.A in Studio Art, Art History, Museum Studies or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the local and regional art scene.
  • Knowledge of contemporary art, art practices, and terminology.
  • Knowledge of visual and performing arts groups and organizations throughout Iowa and the Midwest.
