Walk-in Clinics - Physician Associate 60-100% (Multiple Openings)

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Associate Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and certification by the NCCPA. 

REQUIRED Qualifications

• Licensed as PA in the state of Iowa.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Physician Associate.
• Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice is required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage acutely ill patient population (of all ages) within a highly functioning unit/department.
• Proved capacity to function with a high degree of autonomy while actively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.
• Current valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards.
• Availability to provide support at other clinical locations based on clinical hours/needs.

• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification (obtained within first 6 months of employment).

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute patient care PA experience within Emergency Department, Urgent Care and/or Walk-In Clinic area(s), or Family Medicine.
• Some knowledge of University policies and procedures desired.
• Previous EPIC experience.
• Comfortable with technology and leveraging video, or the desire to learn.
