Education Required
Requires education and a general knowledge of biomedical research and research training associated with a Master's degree in science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience managing a student program or group, preferably graduate school or professional level experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening abilities coupled with the ability to express complex information in a clear, concise and understandable fashion.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively with multiple representatives of a university and academic medical center (faculty, physicians, students/alumni, and administration).
- Proficiency in computer software applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet UI Risk Management driving requirements as a willingness to travel.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with NIH training program and grant management policies, and experience in the administration of research training programs.
- Experience and proficiency in public speaking, technical writing and interpersonal communication.
- Prior supervisory experience.
