Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Experience Required

  • A minimum of 6 months of administrative experience, including experience managing multiple concurrent objectives and tasks while making effective judgments to the priorities of time and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications such as Word, Excel, and Access. Working knowledge of and ability to use office support tools available on the desktop (e.g., word processing, e-mail, presentation software and spreadsheets).  
  • Written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
  • Demonstrated customer support experience.  

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional experience supporting a graduate program(s).
  • Knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the graduate admissions process.
  • Knowledge of University systems (Maui, etc.).
