Administrative Specialist & Assistant to the Chair
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and administrative work experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of higher education office administration or related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of, and ability to utilize, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, etc.) and data collection mechanisms (i.e., surveys, Qualtrics, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience leading, motivating, evaluating, and rewarding personnel, including experience supervising administrative staff.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication; demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and build strong professional working relationships.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of university policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience working with university systems (i.e., MAUI, workflow, HR transactions, etc.).
- Knowledge of and/or interest in dance and the performing arts.
