Application Programmer/Analyst

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Experience with web-development with PHP/CodeIgniter, JavaScript, CSS.

·         Experience using and programmatically accessing SQL databases.

·         Demonstrated experience programming with C and Python.

·         Experience with gene expression analysis tools and interpretation (IGV, splice-graphs).

·         Experience with NGS datasets, and their intermediate forms (FASTQ, BAM, etc).

·         Experience using Linux command-line tools.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex workflow problems and recommend solutions.

Desirable Qualifications

·         Experience with R and statistical analysis.

·         Experience with using and programmatically accessing MySQL databases.

·         Experience with using and developing macros in ImageJ/Fiji

·         Experience using WebGL to display interactive 3D views.

·         Experience developing interactive user-interfaces to high-dimensional data.

·         Knowledge of standard programming and system security concepts.

·         Experience developing and maintaining websites with Drupal/PHP.
