ARNP - Dept of Surgery - Gastrointestinal Surgery
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree from accredited Nursing program with Adult/Gero-Acute Care certification and/or Family Nurse Practitioner certification is required.
- Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the state of Iowa.
- Active Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in the state of Iowa.
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
- Possesses the requisite knowledge and clinical skills to provide care to the adult and geriatric populations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workflow.
- Ability and willingness to learn and assist with Gastrointestinal Surgery procedures and management.
- Active BLS certification.
Desired Qualifications:
- Two years of relevant experience in a surgery or clinic environment.
- Previous operating room experience.
- Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnoses, pathophysiology, pharmacology, management of acute and chronic Gastrointestinal Surgery diagnoses.
- Ability to function with a high degree of independence in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team providing care for highly complex patients.
- Experience with data and quality management projects.
- ACLS certification.
