Education Required

  • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Educational Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (typically 3-5 years) in budget management. 
  • Experience (typically 1-3 years) with personnel management – including staffing projections, organizational structure, recruiting, and hiring.
  • Experience (typically 1-3 years) managing large, complex projects. Preference given to educational projects that involve multiple external stakeholders.
  • Experience with leadership strategic thinking.
  • Extensive proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft office suite (word and excel).
  • Extensive proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.  

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
  • Some (typically 6-12 months) supervisory experience.
  • Experience in K-12 teaching, administration, or policy.
