Assistant Department Director - OBGYN
Required Qualifications
· A Master’s degree in healthcare or business administration, finance or accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
· Minimum of three years of related business or operational management experience is required.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
· Experience managing off-site clinic operations.
· Ability to foster a welcoming and respectful work environment
Desired Qualifications
· Knowledge of systems, policies and procedures at the University of Iowa.
· 3-5 years of experience in academic administration/health care specifically in a department of Obstetrics and Gynecology or a Women’s Health Center.
· Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
· Proficiency in computer software applications
· Experience using and extracting data and reports from an electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as Epic.
· Experience using LEAN or Six Sigma tools for process improvement
· Membership in professional health care organizations.
