Required:

  • Ph.D. in relevant field or MD required
  • Ability to review papers and proposals
  • 5 years of productive research experience focusing on topics of broad interest in neuroscience.
  • Ability to foster an environment in which excellence in research, teaching, and scholarship can flourish.
  • Experience and interest in developing interdisciplinary training and research programs.
  • Significant experience and skill in scientific writing and communication.
  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications.

Desired:

  • Record of innovative and effective administrative and fiscal leadership
  • Record of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Positive interactions with students, staff, and faculty
  • Record of high-quality scientific publications as a primary author
  • Experience with the writing, editing, and revision of grant applications to NIH, other federal agencies, and/or private foundations
