WHAT YOU BRING

Required

  • Master’s degree, preferably in higher education, business, liberal arts or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten or more years of experience working in the administration of student financial aid.
  • Expert knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the undergraduate admission process.

Demonstrates expert/leader proficiency in:

  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply policies and practices for administering a budget.
  • Creating, enhancing and maintaining relationships, particularly with faculty, staff and students in an academic setting.
  • Collaborating and embracing diversity, working with a variety of individuals and groups to foster respectful communication, learning and spirit of cooperation.
  • Leadership abilities in processes, policies, and behavior affecting organizational administration and performance to implement high impact short-term and long-term practices in a collaborative environment and assuring governance practices meet the highest placement, standards and/or rankings.
  • Strategic thinking and planning to make effective long-term business decisions.
  • Ability to communicate with effective use of tools, concepts, and techniques as well as transmission, receipt and interpretation of information and ideas, including oral, written and interpersonal communication.

Desired

  • Experience in a University or other not-for-profit organization.
  • Demonstrates expert level of leading change management within a department or organization.
