Assistant Research Scientist
Education Qualification:
Position requires a Ph.D. in research design/statistics, behavioral or social science field.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience working as a methodological expert on education research projects. Typical experience is 1 – 3 years.
• Expertise with a range of quantitative research methods and software. (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS, Stata, Mplus) and qualitative research methods and software (e.g., NVivo, Dedoose).
• Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
• Effective communication techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with emerging issues in education research.
• Prior experience with grant writing or proposal development in educational research.
• What Works Clearing house certification
