Education Requirement

  •  PhD degree in environmental engineering.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience using remediation, wastewater treatment and waste to energy processes research methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • At least two years of project management experience.
  • Strong research and publication record.
  • Professional engineering license.
  • At least two years of relevant experience with using, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and instrumentation utilized in wastewater treatment and waste to energy processes research.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations concerning the operation of research laboratories and treatment facilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse teams. 

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with plant-based (e.g., algae) water treatment approaches.
  • Experience writing grant proposals.
  • Previous experience supervising or training others.
  • Experience with computer aided design software.
  • Experience with BioWin computational modeling software.
  • Experience operating a wastewater treatment facility.
  • Experience with anaerobic digestion for renewal natural gas production.
