Research Assistant – THRIVE Lab, Psychological and Brain Sciences
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ research experience working with human subjects in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, typically during the work week, but on weekends or during the evening as necessitated by lab activities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to perform independent, self-directed work as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to maintain compliance with departmental, university, government, and funding agency rules and guidelines.
- Must have valid driver's license and be able to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Management Driver’s safety requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with clinical populations.
- Experience using statistical analysis packages (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
- Experience with participant recruitment in research settings.
- Experience in acquisition and analyses of behavioral data.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience with professional communication and conflict management.
- Experience working with veterans in a clinical or research capacity.
