Education Requirement

  • Position requires a Ph.D. in Educational Measurement and Statistics. 

Required Qualifications

  • Considerable (3-5 years) experience with large scale standardized testing and the design and execution of psychometric research. 
  • Considerable (3-5 years) experience in SAS programming using advanced statistical procedures, data management utilities, and other procedures (ODS; SQL). 
  • Experience (1-3 years) with high-end software for psychometric research and development work is required, including applications of item-response theory, structural equation models, and growth models. 
  • Experience (1-3 years) conducting research related to adaptive assessments. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven track records of preparing proposals and manuscripts for conference presentations and publication.  
  • Ability to consult with test publishers and state departments of education or other assessment providers. 
  • Experience with emerging tools (E.g., AI, machine learning) in education. Candidate should understand their applications for test development and assessment as opportunities for research are available. 
  • Familiarity with assessment in the K12 educational system and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
