Assistant Research Scientist-Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, structural biology, or related scientific discipline. Prior postdoctoral experience. Strong publication record. Expertise in CryoEM, X-ray crystallography and biochemical analysis of protein-DNA interactions, fluorescence spectroscopy, and HTS. Experience in purifying and working with human DNA repair proteins. Proficiency with Linux and PC.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Structural and biochemical analysis of protein-DNA interactions
2. CryoEM sample preparation, data collection and model building
3. Experience in purifying and working with human DNA repair proteins.
4. Proficiency in computer use (Windows and Office applications, GraphPad Prism, contemporary CryoEM and X-ray crystallography software).
5. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
1. Strong organizational skills
2. Knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms of homologous recombination, DNA repair, DNA replication, genome stability
3. Experience with bacterial and mammalian cell culture
