Assistant Research Scientist - Neuroscience and Pharmacology
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of postdoctoral research experience in a neuroscience-related field
- A record of authorship of peer-reviewed original research
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage projects independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in the following:
- Rodent behavioral techniques
- Stereotaxic surgeries
- Molecular biology techniques
- Histology and Confocal microscopy
- Statistical analysis software
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience with intracranial infusions and implantation of cannulae, optical fibers and/or electrodes
- Prior experience with mouse models of neurological disease
- Prior experience in EEG
- Prior experience with nociception/pain testing
