Assistant Research Scientist - Neuroscience and Pharmacology (Tomchik Lab)
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a PhD in a biomedical related field, other related science program
- A minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible postdoctoral experience in a relevant research laboratory environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
- Significant experience with Drosophila, including peer-reviewed publications
- Basic histology techniques (e.g., immunohistochemistry) and/or biochemistry techniques (e.g., western blots)
- Experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, and western blots
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Word and Powerpoint
- Experience with Graphpad Prism
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to work independently while being accountable and efficient with time management
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with microscopy, ideally including confocal microscopy
