Assistant Research Scientist - Pediatrics
Education Requirement
- PhD or MD/PhD degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- Existing track record of peer-reviewed scientific journal publications
- Minimum 4 year of experience in biomedical research
- Demonstrated knowledge of microscopy techniques and image usage
- Demonstrated experience with transgenic and genetically engineered mice
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurate complete detailed work
- Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize multiple projects
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with electrophysiology and/or two-photon imaging.
- Demonstrated experience with programming.
- Demonstrated experience using ImageJ, Matlab and/or IgorPro.
- Able to work and learn independently and motivated to contribute to the wider research mission of the lab
- Well-organized and able to coordinate an interact with a team of other post-doctoral scholars, graduate students, research assistants, undergraduates, and intra- and extramural collaborators
