Associate Budget/Financial Officer
Education Requirement
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience (typically 5 years) managing accounting or finance professionals.
- Extensive experience with financial and accounting business systems and processes.
- Extensive experience in writing policies and procedures.
- Extensive experience in training on policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive proficiency in computer software applications, with particular emphasis in Microsoft tools.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional experience in process improvement.
- Experience in an academic college or department.
- Extensive and successful leadership experience.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
- Experience with University of Iowa financial accounting systems.
- Knowledge of grant policies and procedures.
- Supervisory experience is desired, including demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, provide guidance and support to staff, and effectively oversee project execution.
