Associate Dean for Finance and Administration - College of Dentistry
Required Qualifications:
· Master's degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or related field.
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role. Preferably in healthcare or dental academic environment.
· Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, project management, and process improvement initiatives.
· Strong understanding of healthcare financial management, revenue cycle management, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
· Proficiency in financial software and systems, as well as advanced proficiency in financial modeling.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
· In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
· Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
· Commitment to upholding ethical standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
· A collaborative and team-oriented approach to leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
· Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
· Relevant financial experience in a clinical academic institution, including:
o Teaching,
o Patient Care,
o Research, and
o Service.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
· Knowledge of healthcare business office functions, including revenue cycle, billing, claims processing, collections, and financial services.
· Knowledge of healthcare facility management, capital projects, and vendor contract negotiations.
· Knowledge of information technology, including IT infrastructure, data security, and electronic health records.
· Familiarity with healthcare accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
