Associate Director of Administration - Cancer Center
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Comprehensive (10+ years) experience in clinical administration.
3. Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed and appreciated; or demonstrated ability to do so.
4. Proven ability to communicate effectively with physicians, researchers, administrators, and supervisors.
5. Developmental and administrative experience in a university setting or academic medical center.
6. Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Excellent organizational skills.
8. Expertise in wide range of computer applications.
9. Public speaking experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience managing large, interdisciplinary research programs including programmatic grants.
2. Experience in the areas of public relations, marketing and donor relations.
3. Experience in biomedical research administration.
4. Demonstrated ability with complex statistical and financial analysis, presentation, and forecasting.
5. Experience in various aspects of research administration.
6. Experience in a unionized work environment.
7. Membership in the American College of Hospital Executives.
8. Previous administrative experience in a matrix organization and an academic cancer center.
