Associate Director of Sport Programs
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- A master's degree in Recreation, Sport Management or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is necessary.
- Extensive professional experience (typically 3-5 years) at an institution of higher education involving intramural sports, sport clubs, sport camps and/or tennis programming.
- Extensive experience managing performance of part-time and/or professional employees involving the application of performance management systems, practices, and tools to develop and improve individual, team, and organizational performance.
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
- Extensive knowledge and ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals.
- Extensive knowledge developing, evaluating, and implementing assessments of assigned programs and facilities to analyze and provide improvements.
- Extensive experience communicating and collaborating with internal/external partners and participants.
- Current CPR, AED, and First-Aid certification (or be able to obtain within six months of hire).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Extensive experience managing performance of professional employees involving the application of performance management systems, practices, and tools to develop and improve individual, team, and organizational performance.
- Extensive experience with IMLeagues and Innosoft Fusion and/or comparable program management software.
- Extensive experience bidding, planning, and hosting large scale tournaments and/or special events.
- Extensive experience in collaborating with facility operations and maintenance to execute sport programming including scheduling, space setup, and staffing.
- Extensive knowledge of collegiate intramural programming and operations and officiating experience at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.
