Associate Director of the Hubbell Environmental Law Initiative
Education required:
- Excellent academic credentials, including a JD degree.
Experience Required:
- Five years of relevant experience, two of which should be in legal practice or law school teaching.
- Demonstrated interest in environmental, energy, and natural resources law.
- Evidence of potential in teaching in the field of environmental, energy, and natural resources law, which can be demonstrated through experience teaching in this field or through other relevant experience such as law practice involving mentoring or advising.
- Excellent research, analytic, writing, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills, including evidence of strong prioritization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively interact with a population of varying perspectives.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience;
- Experience in the field of environmental, energy, and natural resources law;
- Experience in supervising;
- Iowa bar membership or ability to waive in;
