Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of postdoctoral research experience in a neuroscience-related field
  • A record of authorship of peer-reviewed original research
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in the following:
    • Rodent behavioral techniques
    • Stereotaxic surgeries
    • Electrophysiology
    • Molecular biology techniques
    • Histology and Confocal microscopy
    • Statistical analysis software, Image J, and Adobe Illustrator

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with intracranial infusions and implantation of cannulae, optical fibers and/or electrodes 
  • Prior experience with mouse models of neurological disease
  • Prior experience in slice electrophysiology
  • Experience with calcium imaging
  • Experience with light sheet microscopy
  • Experience with single-cell RNAseq
