Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in behavioral health, behavioral sciences, sociology, social work, psychology, education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience (typically 3 years) managing situations and meeting with individuals who are emotionally distraught or persons with complex personality traits or tendencies.
  • Experience making behavioral assessments using proven and repeatable methodologies for the ultimate purpose of mitigating risks that may threaten the safety and well-being of persons in the university community.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project streams in a cross-functional capacity.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in multiple settings and mediums (written, interpersonal, small group, and presentation).
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and preparing and presenting assessments/reports for multiple audiences to inform decision makers.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as a team while modeling open, respectful, accepting, and supportive behaviors.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students in an educational setting (preferably higher education).
  • Master’s degree, preferably in the field of behavioral health, behavioral sciences, sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, education, or higher education/student development.
  • Experience using database software, preferably the Maxient system.
  • Training and/or demonstrated experience in student development.
