Education Required
Master’s Degree in relevant field

 

Required Certifications
Must be licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Iowa by time of hire.

 

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals.
Demonstrated experience with evidence-based practices including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
Excellent verbal communication skills; including demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and experience leading and/or participating as a member of work teams and groups.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including demonstrated experience using email, spreadsheet and word processing programs and using the internet for conducting research and locating resources.
Demonstrated experience promoting a diverse workforce/academic environment

 

Desirable Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with co-morbid intellectual disability and mental illness
Experience working with individuals with eating disorders
Training experience
Advanced graduate education and/or continuing education related to advanced behavioral health practice is desirable.
Expertise in Iowa abuse / neglect law
Bilingual
