Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Informatics, Information Science, Health Science related degree, or other related degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in information technology support or healthcare may also serve to meet these minimum requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience in IT Support, informatics, data & analytics, research IT, clinical health care, business relationship management or a combination of the above.
  • Some familiarity with databases, healthcare data, research data collection, and electronical medical record data or a combination of the above.
  • Experience creating reports and/or analytics for business needs.
  • Ability to use a systematic troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation for projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Both verbal and written communication skills; Able to explain technical concepts to the lay person.
  • Familiarity with documentation for both external use (customers/clients) and internal use (knowledge management).
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams.

 Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience supporting informatics, data, analytics or information technology in a higher educational setting, academic healthcare, or academic research environment.
  • Experience using business analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner of other electronic health records.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, FERPA and FISMA.
  • Experience with medical coding and medical terminology.
  • Experience with Project Management fundamentals.
  • Experience using the ITIL framework and service management tools.
